TheAraiConcept XE Reactis an ECE 22.06 retrohelmet with a lightweightPB e-cLc shell and VAS Max-Visionface shield.

Thisfull-face helmet has a stripped-back stylised design that harkens back to the neon-tinted style of the 1980s when looking cool was the most important thing. However, Arai does not compromise protection, adhering to the more stringent ECE 22.06 safety certification.

TheConcept XE’s rounded shape, a signature from Arai, is designed to glance off during an accident and spread the impact’s energyso it does not concentrate on one part of your head. The helmet’s outer shell utilises Arai’s PB e-cLc super-fibre laminate material, reinforced in specific impact areas to provide extra protection but incredibly light to reduce strain on your neck. Arai’s signature Variable Axis System (VAS) to lower the visor mounting system. This creates a smoother, rounder shape that improves glancing-off performance to dissipate the energy generated in a crash instead of directing it straight to the rider’s head.

Despite the retro styling, the Concept XE has a modern and efficient ventilation system. Multiple intake vents on the front of the helmet, including classic mesh chin vents, flushair into the helmet through hidden multistage air channels, cooling you down while you ride. But before the air in the helmet can become hot and stuffy, the air exhausts on the rear of the helmet funnel the air out.

With its nostalgic mechanical look, the VAS-VC shield system further enhances glancing-off performance by lowering the visor pivot point to maximise a smooth upper shell. The interior padding is moisture-wicking and machine washable, and the double D-ring retention chin strap is comfortable, quick and easy to fasten.
