The shell of the K5-S is a mix of Carbon and fibreglass that delivers a light-weight allowing for greater comfort, especially useful when you plan on riding for a few hours at a time that you expect when touring. The shell also incorporates a wind tested spoiler, hence the S, that gives greater aerodynamic performance meaning less wind buffeting and wobble to your head while riding. The K5-S has been through a hell of a lot of wind-testing by AGV to get the Integrated Ventilation System as top-notch as possible; this ventilation system uses two chin vents, two brow vents and a crown vent to channel cool air into the helmet while a rear exhaust vent flushes the air out before the helmet can start getting uncomfortable. All vents have open and close switches designed for use while wearing gloves.
