The Shoei RF-1400 Fortress, brought to you by DMG Motorsports, is the latest addition to the iconic RF line which is steeped in a rich tradition spanning almost four decades. Released in 2021, the RF-1400 model manifests Shoei’s commitment to the relentless pursuit of progression and innovation.

This masterpiece was designed and tested within SHOEIs wind tunnel facility where its aerodynamics and ventilation were scrutinized and fine-tuned to perfection. The state-of-the-art design incorporates an impressive six air intake and four exhaust vents aimed at ensuring optimal ventilation and cooling even during long rides. Compared to the preceding RF-1200 model, the RF-1400 Fortress significantly lessens upward lift and drag for a smoother and safer ride.

Another remarkable feature in the RF-1400 is its airtight window beading that guarantees a wind and waterproof shield seal. Accompanying this is the CWR-F2 shield that gifts riders with a crystal clear view and safeguards against the harmful UV radiation from the sun. Adding to the helmet’s convenience and safety is a centrally located release button that ensures a seamless lift of the helmet.

Protection during an impact is thoughtfully handled by the use of multiple layers of fiberglass and dual-layer, multi-density EPS liner. Not leaving comfort and hygiene behind, the RF-1400 Fortress boasts an exclusive Max-Dry interior material that wicks away sweat and moisture at double the rate of standard nylon interiors. This liner is not a hassle to keep clean as it is removable and washable.

Despite its robust construction and comprehensive features, the RF-1400 weighs a mere 3 pounds 10 ounces, allowing for a comfortable ride. The helmet is available in a range of color options and graphics and is approved by Snell M2020D and DOT.
